Stanmore’s Salisbury Hotel has a new look, feel and family friendly menu

When the Salisbury Hotel went up for sale in 2015 we waited with bated breath to see what the new owners would do to this diamond in the rough. As Stanmore locals ourselves, we desperately hoped that whoever bought it, could see the same potential we could and turn it into something amazing!

After watching the renovations unfold, last week we met with the Salisbury’s well-known publicans, Gerard Dore and Trish Larkin, for a sneak peek at the transformation.  Ged and Trish are experienced hotel operators with The Steyne, Beach Road and The Tilbury Hotel to name a few, under their belt.

Their vision is to re-create the Salisbury into an authentic village pub where locals can gather for a meal and feel at home.  We love their vision and can’t wait to sit in that sunny courtyard sipping rose and Newtowners on a Sunday afternoon.

The new back section and courtyard officially opens today. We think they’ve done a pretty awesome job (remember how awful that old courtyard was), what do you think?

Here’s what you can expect from the new Salisbury Hotel in Stanmore.
