The Great Inner West Christmas Brewery Crawl – dress up in your favourite santa gear and join the Christmas Brewery Crawl which is being hosted by Hopsters Co-Op Brewery Starting at Batch Brewing at 4pm sharp, it will finish at Grifters and you’ll visit Stockade Barrel Room and Sauce Brewing in between.

Sink your teeth into a Trifle from Saga – Bring the most impressive desert for your Christmas day feast by ordering one of Andy Bowdy’s acclaimed Christmas Trifles. Inspired by the “boozed up bowls of custard, madeira cake, multi coloured aeroplane jelly and whipped cream that his nan used to serve up”, Andy has created his own (amazing) spin off of a cake in a bowl.

The Happenstore in Annandale is again hosting their annual Merry Merry Christmas market where some unique and crafted goods will be on sale by about 20 different local makers and Flour and Stone Bakery will be on hand to sell some of their fabulous baked goods.
Also at the Happenstore, next Monday evening, Kerstin Boike from Blume Flower School will be teaching some lucky locals how to create their very own beautiful Christmas wreath over a glass of bubbles, word is that this class is booking out super fast so if you want to join the fun you may want to book stat.

Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL is hosting their inaugural Christmas Twilight Markets and is promising us a weekend filled with delicious tastings, live music, arts and crafts, and Christmas gifts with 40 stalls to discover. While you’re browsing for that perfect Christmas gift you can sample a specialty brew from Small Batch Brewing Co, and pair it with some delectable cheeses from Hunter Valley Cheese Company.

Camperdown Commons has us covered this Christmas – from photos with Santa, Christmas Pudding workshops, a pop up gift store and a Family Festival that involves a kids disco (and probably lots of flossing), gingerbread decorating and a fully stocked Spritz bar.
They’re also holding a present drive for the children of farmers where they’ll be supporting farming families in the Hunter and surrounds through Drought Angels and Little Juddies. On Sunday December 2nd from 12pm, Petersham Bowling Club is the place to be. There will be a giant slide, bands, DJs and a craft beer tent with Wayward, Philter and Capitol Brewing serving us the cold stuff. At 4pm Santa will arrive and if you’re good you may just score yourself a lolly bag.

Wind down the year at Camelot Lounge while listening to Aria nominated band Baby et Lulu singing Christmas carols in French. You’ll hear all your favourite chansons, and they are promising a new song or two and “some delicious carols en Français”.

Just three days before Christmas, Carriageworks Christmas Market will be your safe bet to get everything you need for the best Christmas lunch ever. It’s double the size of the regular Farmers Market with more than 115 stalls of fresh seasonal produce and gifts. And finally, if it’s good old carols you’re after you can count on the usuals at Norton St and Ashfield If you’re after Carols yet not the crowds, then try these smaller (but no less festive) events:
Inner West Voices annual Christmas Carols will be held on Saturday 15th December and will be hosted by Cait Harris in Marrickville Town Hall from 7pm.
All Saint’s Petersham Carols night and fair – Sunday 2 December Fair from 4:30pm and then carols in the church from 6pm.
Erko Carpark Carols, hosted by Newtown:Erskineville Anglican Church will once again be putting on an afternoon of carols and Christmas fun on their pop up picnic lawn on Saturday December 8th from 4pm – 6pm. There’ll be a jumping castle, cafe, show bags, bbq, music and from 5pm a live nativity play where you can sing along with some classic Christmas songs.
